These values shape how we train, operate, and maintain our aircraft every day.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Engineering &amp; Maintenance at ITTC North Bay</span></p>\n<p>Our Engineering &amp; Maintenance (E&amp;M) team in North Bay is central to delivering on that mission.</p>\n<p>Supporting a dedicated jet fleet, this team ensures aircraft are safe, serviceable, and ready to meet the demands of tactical training operations. The environment is fast-paced and operationally focused, where agility and attention to detail directly impact mission readiness.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary</span></p>\n<p>The Quality &amp; Safety (SRMS) Lead is responsible for overseeing the Quality Assurance Program in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) 573.09, while supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the Safety &amp; Risk Management System (SRMS).</p>\n<p>This role performs independent inspections, audits, and surveillance activities across aircraft maintenance, modification, and avionics projects, while also managing safety reporting, occurrence investigations, and risk mitigation processes.</p>\n<p>As a key member of the Engineering &amp; Maintenance team, this position serves as a central point of accountability for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance as ITTC North Bay scales its operations.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Quality Assurance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct independent inspections and surveillance of aircraft maintenance, modification, and avionics activities</li>\n<li>Perform audits of maintenance processes, documentation, and records in accordance with the Quality Assurance Program</li>\n<li>Verify compliance with:\n<ul>\n<li>Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)</li>\n<li>AMO policies and procedures</li>\n<li>Approved maintenance and engineering data</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Monitor adherence to maintenance release procedures, technical records, and configuration control</li>\n<li>Identify non-conformances and support development of corrective and preventative actions</li>\n<li>Prepare audit and inspection reports, including findings and recommendations</li>\n<li>Maintain QA records in accordance with regulatory requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Safety &amp; SRMS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the implementation and ongoing development of the Safety &amp; Risk Management System (SRMS)</li>\n<li>Manage occurrence reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis processes</li>\n<li>Track corrective actions and monitor effectiveness of mitigation strategies</li>\n<li>Analyze safety data and trends to identify systemic risks</li>\n<li>Support regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., CADORs) as required</li>\n<li>Promote a culture of safety and proactive hazard reporting across the organization</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Integration &amp; Oversight</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in internal and external audits, including Transport Canada oversight activities</li>\n<li>Act as a liaison across maintenance, engineering, and operations to ensure alignment on quality and safety requirements</li>\n<li>Maintain independence and objectivity in all QA activities while supporting operational teams</li>\n<li>Perform other duties in support of compliance, safety, and operational readiness</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications &amp; Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence (preferred) or equivalent aviation technical background</li>\n<li>Minimum 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance, quality assurance, safety, or compliance within an AMO environment</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of:\n<ul>\n<li>Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), particularly Subpart 573</li>\n<li>AMO Quality Assurance Programs and audit processes</li>\n<li>Safety Management Systems / SRMS principles</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Experience conducting audits, investigations, or regulatory reporting (e.g., CADORs) is considered an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Core Competencies</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High attention to detail and strong analytical skills</li>\n<li>Ability to maintain objectivity and independence in a regulated environment</li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>\n<li>Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities</li>\n<li>Ability to operate with a high degree of ownership in a fast-paced, scaling environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Combination of office and hangar environments</li>\n<li>Involves interaction with aircraft, maintenance personnel, and technical documentation</li>\n</ul>\n<p>May require occasional travel to support operational or audit requirements</p>",
