This is an on-site position located in Barstow, TX
Hours: Rotating Day Shifts
Pay: $44.00 to $48.00

Critical Facilities Technician (Level 1):
The Critical Facilities Technician I provides comprehensive data center white space support for IT infrastructure, which may include monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting, and day-to-day maintenance – all of this being site-dependent and as per the service level agreements with our clients. Critical Facilities Technicians are also responsible for site rounds and using event monitoring and management systems to provide notifications and escalations to stakeholders during service outages.
Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems. Complete planned and ad-hoc preventive maintenance work assignments require the skill and direction of several engineering, mechanical, and maintenance trades. Conduct periodic inspections of building systems, i.e., HVAC, electrical distribution, maintain mechanical equipment rooms to ensure clean and safe conditions. Rapid response, investigation, and management of indoor emergency situations and air quality complaints Have a complete working knowledge of creating, closing, and tracking "work requests" (WR). Initiate or respond to work orders, follow-up and verify completion of work. Monitor performance/note deficiencies of service contractors and recommend changes as necessary Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Supports the delivery of data center services including colocation, telecommunications services, and deployment of additional services to customers and internal business systems. Acts as an operational contact for data center customers, vendors, and carriers as it relates to co-location, connectivity, and network products and services. Carries out tasks under the direction of the Network/Engineering Infrastructure Manager and IT Manager necessary to support internal networks, IT infrastructure, computers, electronics, and telephone systems. Conducts activities inside IT and telecommunications rooms or cabinets such as the installation of IT and network hardware, making or running patch cables, and verifying or testing cable paths. Coordinates and oversees access to and work within the facility with third-party contractors, vendors, and carriers related to structured cabling installation, circuit delivery and equipment installations in IT and telecommunications rooms and customer space. Supports offsite points-of-presence at remote locations and aids in operations, administration, and maintenance of infrastructure, network equipment, and tasks related to the delivery and support of network services.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 0-2 years of directly related experience in the operation, installation, and maintenance of data center critical equipment, building systems with in-depth technical understanding and knowledge of all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two+ years’ experience in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units, and CRAC units. Good observation skills and problem-solving ability.
Physical Requirements:
Climbing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting light weights (up to 50 lbs), grasping, and repetitive motion Work involves occasional overtime, or instances where you are required to stay overnight at the workplace to fulfill job responsibilities under supervision Physical Working Conditions The position is subject to extreme cold and extreme heat, activities occur inside and outside The position is subject Repto noise such as vibration and high volume of air movement The position is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies. Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables Ability to work in environments with a wide variety of temperature inside a facility Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required
Work Conditions:
Full-time rotating shift schedule Must pass background check and drug screening Must adhere to all site-specific safety and security protocols Will be required to wear PPE (steel-toe boots, vest, hard hat, gloves, etc.) as needed
Site Location: We operate a 24-hour facility where work hours (shifts) are assigned as needed to ensure job functions are performed satisfactorily, compliance is maintained, and the company operates efficiently. Certain positions, as specified in your offer letter, may require working irregular hours, such as nights, weekends, overtime, alternating shifts, and under various conditions, including outdoor work during extreme weather or in hazardous environments.

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure
The hourly rate for this role is $44.00 to $48.00 per hour. This range reflects a good‑faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long-term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. This posted hourly rate is the final rate of pay for the position, based on job‑related factors consistent with applicable law.
