Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A)

Position Overview: Solid Power is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) to join our talented team of engineers and scientists working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next generation, all solid‐state rechargeable batteries. This role will play a key part in driving forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting, as well as providing financial insights to support key business decisions. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented and able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners. Job Duties: Support the annual budgeting process, partnering with department leaders to develop and consolidate departmental budgets. Lead the quarterly forecasting process, updating financial projections based on business performance, evolving assumptions and feedback from business units. Support the company’s long-range financial plan, including scenario modeling to evaluate business opportunities and support strategic initiatives. Prepare and present monthly management reports to leadership, including performance dashboards, variance analyses and executive summaries. Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated reporting packages—including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analyses—for presentation to executive management and the Board of Directors. Partner with business units to identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and revenue growth. Support complex financial modeling for business ventures, revenue projections and product cost. Collaborate with accounting during month-end close to ensure accurate financial reporting. Utilize financial systems and data tools to improve FP&A processes, including reporting accuracy and process efficiency (dashboard reporting, automation of processes, etc.). Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields. 2+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting or corporate finance. Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, data analysis); experience with ERP and BI tools (e.g., SAP/SAP Analytics Cloud, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) highly desirable. Strong understanding of financial statements, underlying financial data, and performance metrics. Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods working at a computer.
