(Required)</em></strong></p><ul><li>Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school.</li><li>Active and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of California.</li><li>Current DEA and CPR certifications.</li></ul><p><strong data-pasted=\"true\"><em>Experience</em></strong><strong>: (Preferred)</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience, preferably in a community health or FQHC setting.</li><li>At least 3 years of experience in oral health compliance, risk management, and quality improvement.</li><li>Master of Public Health (MPH) or related graduate degree preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of HRSA, FQHC, and state compliance standards, as well as quality improvement methodologies (e.g., PDSA cycles, Root Cause Analysis).</li><li>Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting for performance monitoring and compliance.</li><li>Proven ability to lead and engage clinical staff in quality and compliance initiatives.</li><li>Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative data analyses.</li><li>Commitment to patient-centered care and the mission of community health.</li></ul><p><strong><em>Licensure/Certification</em></strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul><li>DDS, OSHA Certification, CPR License, X-ray management.</li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>Performs a combination, but not necessarily all, of the following duties:</p><p>Essential Clinical Duties (80%)</p><ul><li>Provide comprehensive general dental services including diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and patient education.</li><li>Deliver restorative treatments, performing oral hygiene and preventive procedures.</li><li>Carry out periodontal services including but not limited to SRP and Periodontal Maintenance, providing endodontic therapy, performing dental extractions, and offering pediatric dental service.</li><li>Perform examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, endodontic procedures, and other indicated treatments within scope of licensure and credentialing.</li><li>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that ensure high-quality, evidence-based care.</li><li>Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and support staff to maintain efficient and effective clinical operations.</li><li>Ensure proper documentation and charting in the electronic dental record in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Promote oral health education and prevention programs to improve patient and community health outcomes.</li></ul><p>Administrative, Quality, Risk, and Compliance Duties (20%)</p><ul><li>Lead and coordinate dental quality assurance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives across all dental sites.</li><li>Conduct ongoing risk assessments and assist in developing mitigation strategies to promote patient safety and reduce potential liabilities.</li><li>Address and coordinate responses to patient complaints and grievances, ensuring timely, empathetic, and compliant resolutions.</li><li>Keep up to date clinical performance data and support the Chief Dental Officer and Dental Director in analyzing clinical performance and developing strategies for continuous improvement.</li><li>Collaborate with the Risk management and Quality Department to align oral health quality initiatives with organizational and HRSA standards.</li><li>Participate in quality meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and performance benchmarks.</li><li>Identify trends, conduct root cause analyses, and recommend evidence-based solutions to improve service delivery and patient satisfaction.</li><li>Maintain and improve quality monitoring tools and dashboards to track performance and outcomes.</li><li>Conduct and manage dental chart audits, peer reviews, and provide feedback processes.</li><li>Develop and deliver educational sessions and materials for staff related to compliance, quality improvement, and risk management.</li><li>Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and HRSA regulations applicable St. Johns dental programs.</li><li>Support provider onboarding and training on compliance, risk, and quality processes.</li><li>Participate in internal and external audits, quality reporting processes.</li><li>Assist the Chief Dental Officer/Dental Director in reviewing and developing policies and
