This position is based out of our Ephrata, PA Office.  A successful candidate should be able to work in a crew environment and have a general knowledge of paving and patching. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><span>Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> </span><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight: bold\">PAVING OPERATOR</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Operate asphalt pavers, rollers and related heavy equipment safely and efficiently.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Preform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Read and interpret plans, grades and job specifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Assist with set up and break down of paving equipment as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Help maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Support other crew members during paving operations when required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight: bold\">PAVING LABORER</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Shovel and lute asphalt.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Take and understand instructions from crew leaders.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Demonstrate a working knowledge of paving.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight: bold\">CONCRETE FINISHER</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch, depth, and aligned accurately.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Install reinforcing rebar or mesh wire to strengthen the concrete.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Spread, level and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand, or power screed and float.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affects the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process to ensure a durable, smooth and uniform finish.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Produce rough concrete surface using broom.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete and move chute to direct concrete.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Operate power vibrator to compact concrete.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">REQUIREMENTS </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span>This position requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical certification throughout employment. </span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Ability to work in a crew-based environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Previous experience operation asphalt pavers or other heavy equipment such as rollers, skid steers and graders).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Punctuality and dependability are required, must have transportation to get to assigned job sites.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Previous asphalt paving experience is preferred.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Understand and follow oral and written instructions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted during work.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);
