If you are looking for work that is challenging and meaningful, come join our team!</p><p><br></p><p>The Custodian assumes responsibility for the condition and cleanliness of the facility.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Specific Responsibilities:</strong></p><ol><li>Responsible for performing duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and waxing hallways, stairs, offices, classrooms, walls and other areas of building</li><li>Empties trash receptacles and bags trash for proper disposal and decontaminate trash receptacles</li><li>Moves, rearranges, and dusts furniture and fixtures</li><li>Secures area after performing cleaning duties</li><li>Receives and distributes shipments</li><li>Maintain, mix, and distribute supplies as necessary</li><li>Keep inventory of custodial supplies, and restock custodial supplies as necessary throughout facility</li><li>Cleans and waxes floor using industrial-size mops and/or machines</li><li>Strips and polishes floor using buffing machines</li><li>Mixes or blends routine cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary for various tasks</li><li>Responsible for treating staff, visitors and children with professional respect</li><li>Washes blinds, windows, and walls with prescribed solutions</li><li>Sweeps sidewalks, porches, and tiled surfaces</li><li>Operates wet/dry vacuum for cleaning and shampooing carpeted areas</li><li>Makes simple or temporary repairs to broken furniture and equipment</li><li>Maintains equipment; reports needs for painting and minor building or equipment repair to supervisor</li><li>Replaces light bulbs</li><li>Perform daily playgrounds checks as assigned</li><li>Reports safety hazards to supervisor</li><li>Folds and issues clothing and linen when assigned</li><li>Cuts grass, trims shrubs, waters plants, cleans up debris and performs other related duties on the grounds when assigned</li><li>Performs custodial related duties necessary to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions</li><li>Performs many varied custodial tasks necessary for the upkeep of building and grounds</li><li>Responsible for notifying Lead Teacher/Center Coordinator when unsupervised children are detected.</li><li>Responsible for care and accountability of assigned assets including inventory and records of such.</li><li>Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner</li><li>Promotes parent and community volunteers and actively seeks in-kind donations</li><li>Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><br></p>",
