Description
Overview
The Medical Assistant performs patient-oriented procedures under the supervision of a RN, LPN, and/or physician.
Responsibilities:
Direct patient to proper exam/treatment room, prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Take vital signs and document patient reasons for appointment
Assist physician with procedures as directed
Instruct patients in all appropriate procedures
Maintain, clean, and sterilize medical equipment as directed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Current phlebotomy and CPR certifications are required
7 – 11 months related experience and/or training
