At Metalforms, we provide our customers with a variety of services that have helped us to become one of the leading providers of heat transfer solutions along the Gulf Coast Region.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Metalforms was recently acquired by the TransTech Group, a leading provider of custom-engineered and fabricated solutions for liquids and gas processing, storage, transfer, and utilization across a broad range of industries including energy, petrochemical, specialty chemical, renewables, biofuels, and a variety of industrial process industries.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Boilermaker/Fitters<strong>&nbsp;</strong>must read blueprints, cut/thread/weld pipes, and perform hydrostatic tests to ensure leak-proof, code-compliant systems. The role requires strong safety awareness, mechanical skill, and the ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Tasks &amp; Responsibilities:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Layout &amp; Fabrication:</strong> Reading isometric drawings and blueprints to plan piping installations, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to exact specifications.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Installation:</strong> Assembling, installing, and securing complex pipe systems, valves, and hangers in industrial, high-pressure environments.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Welding &amp; Joining:</strong> Utilizing MIG, TIG, or Stick welding, as well as specialized techniques for gas pipelines.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Maintenance &amp; Repair:</strong> Troubleshooting, maintaining, and replacing worn or damaged piping systems.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Testing:</strong> Conducting pressure and leak tests to verify the integrity of the piping system.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Safety Compliance:</strong> Adhering strictly to industry safety standards (PPE, OSHA) in hazardous environments.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Competencies</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Blueprint reading</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge of tape measure and standard measurements</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to perform degree finding</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to divide circumference of welds</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge of overhead cranes and hand signals</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills in safe rigging practices</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to adhere to standards and perform a quality job in a safe manner within an acceptable time.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Physical requirements include Bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting, and reaching, standing for long periods of time, lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
