Charlies Produce is looking to add an experienced Fleet Mechanic to join their team in South Seattle.&#xa0;We are looking for a professional person who is attentive to details such as being to work on time, a team player, and willing to work hard.&#xa0;A Journeyman Mechanic is a certified, highly skilled professional who&#xa0;independently diagnoses, repairs, and maintains complex automotive or industrial equipment. They perform advanced engine work, system repairs (hydraulics, electrical), and preventive maintenance, often supervising apprentices. Qualifications include completing an apprenticeship program, passing certification exams, and having extensive hands-on experience</p><p><strong>Essential Responsibilities and Duties Include, but Are Not Limited To:</strong></p><ul><li>Preventative maintenance / Diagnosing, troubleshoot repair mechanical, electrical and computer systems on vehicles or machinery.&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Running repairs on a variety of equipment from Tractors, Trailers, Lit gates, Reefers and Yard goats.</li><li>System Overall, rebuild engines, transmissions, and components, and maintain hydraulic or pneumatic systems.&#xa0;</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure vehicle safety and performance.</li><li>Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate and complete repairs.</li><li>R&amp;R Truck components including Engine, transmissions, axles, brakes, lift gates, etc..</li><li>Engine / Transmission diagnose A/C repair Electrical -- charging / starting / lighting / suspension and Steering repair</li><li>Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy diesel engines, machines and related systems, including Lift gate hydraulics and transmissions.</li><li>Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.</li><li>Work on and maintain Refrigeration trailers and Box trucks.</li><li>Completes required paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.</li><li>Safety &amp; Compliance, adhere to all safety protocols (LOTO), environment regulations, &amp; hazardous waste disposal guidelines.&#xa0;</li><li>Supervision &amp; training, guide and train apprentices &amp; junior mechanics, inspecting their quality of work.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>Required Skills and Experience</strong></p><ul><li><em>Must have at least 5 years of previous truck diagnosis of&#xa0;diesel mechanic experience on Class 8 vehicles preferred knowledge freightliner Isuzu &amp; Hino</em></li><li>Knowledgeable in the diagnosis and repair of all makes of electronic controlled diesel engines. Fleet experience is a must.</li><li>Must have mechanical and diagnostic knowledge and/or experience in diesel engines, liftgates and&#xa0;refrigeration units&#xa0;</li><li>Must have basic welding skills and knowledge of TIG, MIG and stick welding.</li><li>Must have ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.</li><li>Ability to read/follow technical manuals &amp; verbal instructions alike.</li><li>Comfortable with the use of factory scan tools.</li><li>Have a professional mechanics toolbox.</li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent.&#xa0;</li><li>Valid Driver’s License.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Cummins and Detroit Certifications.</li><li>Reefer maintenance experience.</li><li>Class A is a plus, Class B preferred.</li></ul>",
