    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>i3 is looking for a Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will have previous experience in rotary and/or fixed wing aircraft nondestructive inspection. This position is located in Huntsville, Alabama.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Detect flaws such as cracks, delamination, voids, processing defects, and heat damage using Fluorescent Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Radiographic (CR), and Optical test equipment.  </li>\n <li>Provide the necessary guidance and training to Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard DOD personnel in the techniques/methods of detecting visible and non-visible defects.  </li>\n <li>Maintain records of training activities, trainee progress and program effectiveness at government site location and remote locations.  </li>\n <li>Give presentations and speaking in front of groups of 20 or more individuals.</li>\n <li>This position will require 20% travel CONUS and OCONUS.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><u>Education/Experience</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.</li>\n <li>Level 2 Certification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) or military equivalent.</li>\n <li>NDT Level II individual qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards and specifications.</li>\n <li>Thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which they are qualified and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and NDT Level I/II personnel.</li>\n <li>Ability to organize and report the results of NDT tests.</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.</li>\n <li>U. S. Citizenship is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Knowledge/Skills</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of office administration and procedures.</li>\n <li>Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills; ability to clearly communicate in discussions and written documents, and to deliver feedback clearly and tactfully.</li>\n <li>Interact with a diverse array of customers and staff in a professional and courteous manner.</li>\n <li>Work independently with accountability for accurate and complete results.</li>\n <li>Be extremely organized and exceptionally detail oriented.</li>\n <li>Work well both independently and in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Be energized by a fast-paced work environment.</li>\n <li>Must be able to communicate with others effectively.</li>\n <li>Analyze information and respond appropriately.</li>\n <li>Manage time wisely and prioritize tasks.</li>\n <li>Provide superior customer service. </li>\n <li>Multi-task in a pleasant manner.</li>\n <li>Work well under pressure.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Physical Demands:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</li>\n <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. </li>\n <li>The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. </li>\n <li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. </li>\n <li>Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion.
