          "text": "<p>The <strong><u>Clinical Nurse Educator </u>&#xa0;</strong>reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.</p><p>The <strong><u>Clinical Nurse Educator</u></strong> is an educator, consultant, role model, staff/patient advocate, change agent, and leader. In collaboration with nursing and practice leadership, peers, mentors, the quality team, and the NM Academy this position designs, develops, implements and evaluates a variety of educational offerings in order to improve clinical care and clinical/organizational outcomes. This role elevates the standard of professional nursing practice and the organization by developing, coaching and mentoring staff to become expert clinicians and leaders.</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>&#xa0;</p><ol><li><strong>ONBOARDING &amp; COMPETENCY: develops, coordinates, administers, facilitates and evaluates onboarding and competency programs</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Conducts onboarding, training and competency evaluation of new and existing staff. &#xa0;</li><li>Develops and evaluates initial onboarding and training programs, establishes initial competencies, continues and reinforces onboarding activities</li><li>Evaluates orientation of staff, identifies further instructional needs.</li><li>Coordinates practice level annual competency evaluations</li></ul><ol><li><strong>PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT </strong></li></ol><ul><li>Identifies educational needs, develops evidence-based adult education strategies and project plans and implements appropriately.</li><li>Facilitates formal and informal clinical staff education for system educational initiatives</li><li>Develops, evaluates and facilitates appropriate education program record keeping, promotes continuing staff competence.</li><li>Conducts learning needs assessments</li><li>Provides ongoing staff clinical competency feedback, assists manager in establishing and evaluating staff clinical performance expectations.</li><li>Supports ongoing development of critical thinking skills among clinical staff</li><li>Identifies and develops the practice level “mentor” and “preceptor”, acts as a clinical resource to the practice level staff.</li><li>Supports department quality assurance programs</li><li>Participates in the development and education of evidence informed policies, clinical guidelines, procedures, protocols and clinical tools</li><li>Coordinates student affiliations and participates in curriculum development</li></ul><ol><li><strong>QUALITY IMPROVEMENT </strong></li></ol><ul><li>Participates in assurance of regulatory requirements and training, implementation of quality metrics.</li><li>Identifies areas of opportunity to streamline work processes, improve workflow and achieve clinical staff top of license practice.</li><li>Identifies and resolves problems related to the work environment and the quality and safety of care and services, actively participates in quality and process improvement projects</li><li>Contributes to monitoring of nursing sensitive indicators</li><li>Contributes to innovation, knowledge dissemination, evidence-informed practice and research initiatives by participating in activities such as conferences and journal clubs</li><li>May perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>",

Candidates with at least 50% of a Master’s degree program completed will be considered.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years relevant clinical experience</li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate educational plans, with a focus on the principles of adult learning</li></ul><p><strong><u>Preferred:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Certification in related specialty or education, willing to obtain once eligible</li><li>Ambulatory experience</li><li>Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR)</li></ul>",
