Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Prepares adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and equipment for sleep disorders testing. Monitors the polysomnogram and documents per policy.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p>\n<li>Arrives to work in a timely manner.  Reviews the activity list for the nights duties and patients.</li>\n<li>Reviews assigned patient charts, greets patients, completes appropriate paperwork and pre-test assessment.</li>\n<li>Applies recording sensors, acclimatizes patient to Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) if applicable, and performs pre-recording calibration.</li>\n<li>Monitors the recording during the evening per protocol including documentation and interventions as needed.</li>\n<li>Ends the recording per protocol, completes appropriate post-study documentation, removal of sensors and cleanup as needed.</li>\n<li>Scores polysomnograms as needed and prepares report for dictation.  Assists in training, orientation and competency assessments as needed.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>REQUIRED:</p>\n<li>Must possess good written and oral communication skills.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations.</li>\n<li>One (1) year experience in sleep study activity.</li>\n<li>Current American Heart Association's Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).</li>\n<li>Must possess current and unrestricted certification or registration in one of the following: Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)</li>\n<h2>Work Hours:</h2>7P-7A\n<h2>Weekend Requirements:</h2>Yes\n<h2>On-Call Requirements:</h2>No",
