We&#39;ve been mastering the art of crafting sustainable specialty paper and tissue products for years, and now we want you to be part of our dynamic team. &nbsp;We are looking to hire a <strong>Production/ Operational Excellence Manager</strong> in our <strong>Wiggins, MS</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong>paper mill to play a significant role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization&rsquo;s processes. By employing a systematic approach, this position focuses on the continuous improvement of mill operations to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the business and its customers. Through the analysis of performance data, identification of inefficiencies, and the implementation of strategic solutions, the Operational Excellence Manager supports the organization in achieving its goals. This role involves collaboration with various departments to foster a culture of innovation and improvement, ultimately leading to increased productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. This highly visible role in BSP will report directly to the mill manager and play a key role in building a high-performance environment.</p><p>At BiOrigin Specialty Products, our mission is to drive innovative solutions in alignment with our strategic partners to revolutionize the paper and tissue industry to do this, we hold fast in our core values which are the fabric of our culture and the pillars off which we build our community; teamwork, employee investment, integrity, problem solving, and trust.</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Operational Excellence Manager Job Duties</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Lead and facilitate process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.</li><li>Development of, and execution of project pipeline delivering financial results primarily in: &nbsp;throughput, waste reduction and raw materials.</li><li>Develop and implement operational excellence strategies and roadmaps in alignment with organizational goals, ensuring integration with business processes and systems.</li><li>Collaborate with mill teams and departments to identify process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction, proposing innovative solutions to address these issues.</li><li>Design and execute training programs for staff at all levels on operational excellence principles, tools, and techniques to build an organizational culture of continuous improvement.</li><li>Implementing and growing the Management Systems mill wide.</li><li>Work with Mill Manager to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress and impact of operational excellence initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary.</li><li>Facilitate the adoption of best practices in project management and process optimization, ensuring consistency and standardization where appropriate.</li><li>Oversee the documentation and updating of processes and procedures to ensure they reflect current best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.</li><li>Maturing the mills culture of continues improvement (visual management, KPI&rsquo;s, 5S, etc.)</li><li>Improve the team&rsquo;s problem-solving capability.&nbsp;</li><li>Research and implement new technologies or methodologies that can further enhance operational efficiency, staying ahead of industry trends and competitive benchmarks. &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</li><li>Ability to work independently and with teams.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Education:</strong>&nbsp; Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree, with common majors including Business Administration, Engineering, or Operations Management preferred.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Operational Excellence Managers typically come from a background rich in process improvement, quality management, and strategic planning. Their experience often includes hands-on roles in optimizing operations, leading cross-functional teams, and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies.&nbsp;</li><li>Paper Machine Superintendent experience, or equivalent required.
