About the Role: The Kitchen role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of food preparation and service within a culinary environment. This position focuses on maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene while supporting the kitchen team in daily tasks. The individual will contribute to the preparation of ingredients, cooking, plating, and cleaning to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Collaboration with chefs, kitchen staff, and management is key to meeting service demands and adhering to health regulations. Ultimately, this role supports the overall success of the kitchen by fostering a productive and organized workspace. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and culinary terminology. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays. Responsibilities: Prepare and organize ingredients for cooking according to recipes and kitchen standards. Assist chefs and cooks in the preparation and cooking of menu items. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. Manage inventory by receiving and storing supplies properly and reporting shortages. Support the kitchen team during peak service hours to ensure timely food delivery. Dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with health and safety guidelines. Skills: The required skills such as food safety knowledge and the ability to follow instructions are critical for maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
