Maintain necessary equipment logs and inform supervisor of deficiencies.</li>\n <li>Perform/prioritize work activity according to business needs and as directed by supervisor.</li>\n <li>Maintains storage areas, entry/exit points and yard areas.</li>\n <li>Assists customers as they enter the yard for material pick-ups or returns.</li>\n <li>Keeps lumberyard, clean, well-organized and safe.</li>\n <li>Unload lumber deliveries from suppliers and compare invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct.</li>\n <li>Load lumber and other merchandise into customer/salesman vehicles.</li>\n <li>Occasional delivery of materials with company vehicles.</li>\n <li>Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection.</li>\n <li>Communicates with customers, coworkers, and supervisors in a courteous, effective, and respectful manner.</li>\n <li>Adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.Safety conscious.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED.</li>\n <li>Experience operating a forklift, able to obtain certification.</li>\n <li>Valid Driver License, with good driving record.<strong> </strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Physical Work Requirements - Heavy: exerting up to 75 lbs of force regularly.</li>\n <li>Repetitive motion associated with operating equipment.</li>\n <li>Regular exposure to the elements.</li>\n <li>Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.                               </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>This description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts, or work conditions associated with this job.
