Description This position is central to the missionaries' role to 'Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.' The incumbent will assist the regional manager in administrative and training functions for 200-400 mentors and supervise the area’s training assistants. This person will also work closely with the division's managers, mentor trainers, and mentors to assist in the effort of ensuring the proper training of missionaries and mentors. The ability to read, write, and communicate in both English and Spanish is required for this role. Responsibilities Reports to Supv, Training Operations Supervisor. 1. Assists the division managers in the following areas: • Interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new mentors • Manages administrative tasks including the following: o Monitors substitution process and any undesirable patterns of performance o Schedule observations, interviews, performance reviews, exit interviews, meetings, etc. • Serves on committees as assigned • Disciplinary functions (2nd witness during warnings, logs and tracks, and reports performance to manager for direct reports) 2. Strategic Planning • Coordinates mentor assignment and shifts • Coordinates missionary number projections and ensures appropriate staffing levels 3. Supervises and trains area assistants • Supervises the work of other employees (may include mixed workforce) • Provides suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of employees under their supervision Qualifications Required: • 2 years of college or administrative experience (or equivalent combination of college and work experience) • Must be able to read, write, and speak Spanish proficiently • Must have excellent organization and communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Ability to quickly understand and work with technology • Must be an excellent problem-solver • Ability to handle pressure well To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using monitors/equipment. Preferred: • Experience as an MTC teacher or mentor • Understanding of Preach My Gospel and the current MTC curriculum • Excellent training ability in large/small group settings (using the training model and coaching techniques) Company Church employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord’s work.
