INDUS supports the planning, coordination, and installation activities of Combat System and Command, Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence (C5I) Systems in aircraft carriers, and other strike group or strike force units (including but not limited to LHA, LHD, LPD, and other L-Class units). Our team is directly responsible for supporting the planning, budgeting, and execution of New Construction (SCN) testing and modernization efforts in support of the Modernization and Installation Department (N Department), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD).
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Management Support Analyst supports the Ship Shelf Defense System (SSDS) Customer Advocate (CA) with program funding, tasking requirements, and deliverables in support of the CVN/L-Class Support Services contract . This position is located in Port Hueneme, CA.
This position will function as a part-time role .
What You'll Do
Assist in the planning, implementing, and executing of technical programs, policies and management actions relative to the acquisition, design, shipyard production, at-sea Testing and Evaluation, and InService Engineering of the Amphibious ship and CVN platform programs.
Assist the CA by primarily focusing on understanding the technical aspects of tasking that spans across NSWC PHD departments, external organizations and Program Executive Offices.
Assist the Customer Advocate by providing senior level technical expertise and leadership during the development and delivery of various SSDS products.
Assist the Customer Advocate with the interfacing and briefing of all command levels at NSWC PHD, various program stakeholders, Navy senior leadership and working group forums.
Provide program management support, to include budget development, task planning, sponsor funding allocations and execution reporting, including benchmark variance explanations, funding impacts and mitigation recommendations.
Other responsibilities include reviewing, tracking and updating internal financial and tasking reports, preparing NSWC PHD program budget and execution monthly briefs to IWS 80 and other sponsors.
Expertise required for the following applications: NAVSEA Enterprise Planning Solution (NEPS), Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP), Work Assignment and Acceptance Process (WAAP) and Technical Capability Health Assessment (TCHA).
Work with applicable organizations and personnel to resolve high visibility technical issues spanning across various functional areas and organizations.
Participate in various meetings and process development forums to ensure that the SSDS Customer Advocate is represented.
Assist in financial management and long-range planning.
Bid and proposal support if requested.
Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
Ten (10) years of experience providing engineering/science management, operations research analysis or financial/cost analysis in support of a U.S. Navy or similar DoD program environment.
Demonstrated ability to effectively plan workload and meet established deadlines.
The individual must be able to clearly and concisely articulate technical subject matters both written and verbally.
Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Must possess strong time management skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
Travel Required ~10% travel required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited university desired.
Knowledge of current and future Combat System baselines and the ability to assist with technical and financial execution.
Knowledge of Combat Systems and Ship Modernization and Installation processes.
Quality System ISO 9001:2015 Registered and Certified
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities.
INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $43.26-$57.69 per hour (part-time). This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, and may be eligible for performance bonuses, and other rewards and benefits (see more about our compensation package and benefits offered at Culture @ INDUS | INDUS Technology).
