If you’re looking for a role where you can build real expertise, grow your career, and experience something new every day, this is the opportunity for you.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p>\n<p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced <strong>Lead Water Treatment Mechanic</strong> to lead service mechanics responsible for maintenance and operational reliability of water/wastewater treatment systems and related infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading technical maintenance tasks and projects to support optimal plant operations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversee complex maintenance, repair, and installation of pumps, motors, valves, blowers, chemical feed systems, and other treatment equipment.</li>\n <li>Ability to read blueprints and P&ID’s, electrical knowledge, plumbing skills, instrumentation and field setup-up and commissioning.</li>\n <li>Diagnosing equipment and systems issues.</li>\n <li>Plan and execute preventative and corrective maintenance programs.</li>\n <li>Coordinate operations staff to support continuous plant performance and efficiency.</li>\n <li>Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to technical staff.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records and reports related to water operations, including production data, maintenance logs, and regulatory documentation.</li>\n <li>Ensure adherence to all applicable safety procedures and regulations.</li>\n <li>Provide guidance and training to entry-level technicians and staff professionals as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or relevant work experience in lieu of degree; additional certification or training in water treatment operations is preferred.</li>\n <li>5-10 years of experience in hands-on water and/or wastewater treatment experience.</li>\n <li>Thorough knowledge of water/wastewater treatment and theory.</li>\n <li>Experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex water systems to ensure zero downtime.</li>\n <li>Understanding of Health and Safety planning.</li>\n <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.</li>\n <li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in computer applications for data management and reporting.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality water services to our community in the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan area.
