    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Who&nbsp;You Are:</strong></p><p>The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, HVAC, and electrical work.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What&nbsp;You&rsquo;ll&nbsp;Do:</strong></p><ul><li>Handling basic repairs and maintenance such as:<ul><li>Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets, painting structures and equipment</li><li>Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks</li><li>Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles</li><li>Hanging doors and installing and lubricating door locks</li><li>Replacing broken windowpanes</li></ul></li><li>Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery</li><li>Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment</li><li>Performing preventative maintenance</li><li>Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary</li><li>Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them</li></ul><p>Excluded are:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Craft workers included in a formal apprenticeship or progression program based on training and experience;&nbsp;</li><li>Skilled craft workers required to demonstrate proficiency in one or more trades;&nbsp;</li><li>Workers performing simple maintenance duties not requiring practical skill and knowledge of a trade (e.g., changing light bulbs and replacing faucet washers).</li></ul><p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Bring:</strong></p><ul><li>Proven maintenance experience</li><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED)</li><li>Related degree from a technical college</li><li>Skilled in the use of hand and power tools</li><li>Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts</li><li>Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary</li><li>Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches</li><li>Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices</li><li>Experience performing routine maintenance</li><li>Strong organizational and follow up skills</li><li>Eye for detail</li><li>Professional presentation and attitude</li><li>Ability to maintain focus while working individually</li><li>Strong time management skills</li><li id=\"isPasted\">Must possess and maintain an active and valid North Carolina Real ID driver&#39;s license without restrictions.</li><li>Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.</li><li>Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.</li><li>Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.</li><li>Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate&rsquo;s start date.</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Expected Salary: $29.07/hr</p><p>Versar Global Solutions is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the Company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant&rsquo;s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
