Whether you’re an expert in animal care, a leader in guest services, or an advocate for conservation, there’s a place for you on our team.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>As a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Year-Round Farm Hand</span>, you will support the daily care and maintenance of a variety of exotic and domestic animals by cleaning habitats, distributing feed and water, and operating farm equipment. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment for both animals and staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, willingness to assist across departments, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor setting. Efficiency, adaptability, and teamwork are key qualities for success in this role.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Animal Care Support</em>:\n<ul>\n<li>Distribute hay and feed and ensure animals have access to fresh, clean water</li>\n<li>Observe animals during routine tasks</li>\n<li>Assist with basic husbandry tasks and animal moves</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><em>Maintenance</em>:\n<ul>\n<li>Clean and disinfect animal stalls, enclosures, barns, and holding areas</li>\n<li>Operate farm equipment (e.g. tractors, telehandler, utility vehicles) to transport feed, bedding, and waste</li>\n<li>Assist with habitat upkeep, inspections, minor repairs, and landscaping</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><em>Guest Interactions and Support:</em>\n<ul>\n<li>Educate guests by answering questions and sharing information about the animals and the park</li>\n<li>Support guest-facing operations as needed</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><em>Administration</em>:\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in inventory and procurement of supplies, such as feed, tools, and substrate</li>\n<li>Utilize Animal Care Software to maintain animal records and observations</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Assist in other departments and with other tasks as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prior experience with large animals in a farm, zoo, or animal care environment</li>\n<li>Experience operating farm equipment required</li>\n<li>Must be 18 years of age or older and pass pre-employment screening</li>\n<li>Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation</li>\n<li>Physical ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting and moving up to 70 pounds</li>\n<li>Must provide a negative TB test and have a recent tetanus shot</li>\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive and collaborative attitude</li>\n<li>Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision and manage time effectively</li>\n<li>Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the park’s unique needs</li>\n<li>Flexible schedule, must work most weekends and holidays</li>\n<li>Reflect the company's core values: \n<ul>\n<li>Grow Stronger, Go Further</li>\n<li>Caring Culture</li>\n<li>We'll Figure it Out</li>\n<li>All In, Always</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We Offer</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opportunities for further education and development</li>\n<li>Team member appreciation days and parties</li>\n<li>Free admission for yourself and family &amp; friends on your days off</li>\n<li>In-Park Discounts on retail and select animal encounters</li>\n<li>Paid Time Off with increasing accrual rates over tenure</li>\n</ul>",
