This position coordinates and oversees all maintenance functions.</p>\n\n<p>Specific Duties are to include the following:</p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Reporting to the Area Maintenance Manager and with dotted line to the Terminal Managers, you will be working directly with the Terminal Manager(s) in supervising the maintenance staff(including hiring and disciplinary actions, assisting other maintenance staff members, coordinating and assisting in the shop when vacancies occur, evaluating performance, providing technical training, and safety training.</p>\n\t</li>\n</ul>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Working with the technicians to ensure fleet inspections and repairs are performed as outlined by the company and maintenance manuals established for each type of vehicle. Maintain the fleet to comply with State and Federal regulations in both time and mileage intervals.</p>\n\t</li>\n</ul>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Working with the terminal team to ensure defects noted on the drivers&#39; defect reports are being repaired in a timely manner. It is understood that no vehicle will be released for use with any defects that affect the safe operation.</p>\n\t</li>\n</ul>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Prepares reports on maintenance metrics and KPI&rsquo;s for review with the Terminal Managers and the Area Maintenance Manager. Written and verbal communication skills, and customer service skills are essential.
