This role works closely with Project Managers, Procurement, contractors, and site personnel to ensure construction execution aligns with scope, schedule, budget, safety, and contractual requirements. The Construction Manager serves as the primary field representative and first point of contact for contractors.<br><br><b>Responsibilities</b></span></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Support project planning, needs assessments, and evaluation of alternative construction approaches.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Assist with development, maintenance, and oversight of detailed construction schedules.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Provide overall construction support throughout the project lifecycle.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Partner with Project Managers to guide and execute construction projects in accordance with project objectives.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Support development of Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Assist in evaluation of contractor bids and proposals and support determination of best-value contractor selection.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Direct and oversee Construction Coordinators and field support personnel.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Serve as primary point of contact for contractors.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Lead pre-construction meetings, routine status meetings, and project closeout meetings.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Manage contractor-related issues including change orders, differing site conditions, safety concerns, and contractual matters.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Maintain and monitor the construction schedule to ensure milestones are achieved.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Coordinate with Procurement regarding vendor selection, materials, contract types, and proposal evaluations.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Manage site logistics and field coordination activities.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Facilitate communication between site teams, contractors, and project leadership.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Resolve conflicts and drive timely issue resolution in the field.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Review and approve contractor payment requests in alignment with contract terms and progress achieved.</span></li></ul><br><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></span><ul><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Relevant experience in construction management, industrial or facility projects, or government/DOE environments preferred.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Strong understanding of construction scheduling, contract administration, and contractor oversight.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Ability to lead meetings, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive issue resolution.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">U.S. Citizenship required.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">DOE Q Clearance preferred.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n\n<p>All eligible employees enjoy an excellent benefits package, including medical/dental/vision insurance, short/long-term disability, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off including holidays, and tuition reimbursement.</p>\n\n<p><strong>EEO Statement:</strong></p>\n\n<p>MSTI is an equal-opportunity employer.
