This role is responsible for ensuring repairs are completed according to original manufacturer specifications, industry best practices, and company quality standards.</p><p>The Lead Pump Technician will serve as the technical leader within the pump repair department, providing guidance to technicians, assisting with troubleshooting complex repairs, and ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot centrifugal and industrial pumps for wear, leaks, vibration issues, and mechanical failures&nbsp;</li><li>Disassemble pumps and evaluate key components including impellers, shafts, bearings, wear rings, and mechanical seals&nbsp;</li><li>Perform repairs or replacements of mechanical components using precision measurement tools and shop equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Reassemble pumps to proper tolerances, ensuring correct fits, alignment, and performance standards&nbsp;</li><li>Lead and support pump repair technicians by providing technical guidance, training, and quality oversight&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate pump repairs with motor repair staff when working with combined pump/motor assemblies&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company safety procedures and industry standards&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, measurements, parts used, and repair procedures&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with job planning, estimating repair scope, and identifying replacement parts&nbsp;</li><li>Inspect completed repairs to ensure quality control before equipment is returned to the customer&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area&nbsp;</li><li>Support continuous improvement efforts related to repair processes, efficiency, and shop workflow&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>5+ years of experience</strong> in industrial pump repair, rotating equipment repair, or a related mechanical field&nbsp;</li><li>Strong working knowledge of <strong>centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals, bearings, and shaft assemblies</strong>&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to read and interpret <strong>technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals</strong>&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency using <strong>precision measurement tools</strong> including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with <strong>alignment tools, hydraulic presses, and general shop equipment</strong>&nbsp;</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to lead by example and assist in training or mentoring technicians&nbsp;</li><li>Welding, machining, or pipe fitting experience is considered a plus&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to lift <strong>50+ pounds</strong> with assistance when necessary&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to stand, bend, and work in an industrial shop environment for extended periods&nbsp;</li><li>Comfortable working with mechanical equipment, hand tools, and shop machinery&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Attributes</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship&nbsp;</li><li>Dependable, organized, and safety-focused&nbsp;</li><li>Effective communication and teamwork skills</li></ul><p><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">We offer competitive wages, pay depends on experience and excellent benefits including 401(k), 401(k) company match up to 5%, health, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance.
