Over decades, this team has built comprehensive expertise—from economic studies and feasibility assessments to detailed design, procurement, commissioning, industrial programming, and mine closure.<br>&nbsp;</p><p>To support our continued growth, we are seeking a <strong>Structural Engineer</strong> to join our team in <strong>Terrace, British Columbia</strong>. In this role, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of complex heavy industrial projects, ensuring safe, reliable, code‑compliant design and successful project delivery.</p><hr><p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Deliver structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures supporting heavy industrial and mining facilities.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Develop and review foundation system designs that ensure long‑term performance and safety.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Produce structural drawings, calculations, and high‑quality construction documentation.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Visit client sites to conduct construction reviews, field verifications, and design assessments.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Collaborate closely with clients, internal design partners, and contractors to support project delivery.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Prepare and contribute to technical reports and proposal documents.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Support project management activities to help ensure work is delivered on schedule and within budget.</li></ul><hr><p><strong>The Skills That Set You Apart</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Licensed <strong>Professional Engineer (P.Eng)</strong> in British Columbia.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">5–8 years of structural engineering design experience, ideally in consulting environments supporting industrial sectors such as mining or processing.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Knowledge of CSA design standards and National/Provincial Building Codes.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as <strong>STAAD‑PRO, S‑Frame, SAP2000, SAFE</strong>, etc.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Working familiarity with AutoCAD; experience with <strong>Revit Structure</strong> is an asset.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and adapt to evolving project needs.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to project sites as required.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list 36.0pt;\">French language skills are an asset.</li></ul><hr><p><strong>Why Choose WSP?</strong><br>We exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
