For more information, visit ClaiborneMedicalCenter.com.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>Assists Nurse Manager with the delivery of high quality nursing care and administrative management of the Nursing unit. Fulfills all duties and responsibilities associated with the Nurse Supervisor position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists in selection, training, orienting, developing and evaluating the performance of the department staff. </li>\n <li> Maintains operational reports and records and collects statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes.</li>\n <li> Assists with coordination and reporting of nursing activities performed on behalf of the patient.</li>\n <li> Establishes and maintains communication between the nursing unit, medical staff and ancillary departments for the purposes of problem solving and quality improvement. Utilizes appropriate lines of communication within the facility.</li>\n <li> Assists with establishment and implementation of unit goals and objectives are in alignment with the facility and system.</li>\n <li> Promotes a safe environment that allows for the delivery of high quality patient care utilizing evidenced based practices.</li>\n <li> Protects patient confidentiality by promoting professional staff communications.</li>\n <li> Supervises, institutes, and evaluates nursing interventions and documentation.</li>\n <li> Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.</li>\n <li> Works collaboratively with other disciplines to ensure patient care is timely, efficient, and effective.</li>\n <li>Facilitates professional development of staff.</li>\n <li> Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.</li>\n <li> Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Education:</strong>           </p>\n<p>Graduate of accredited nursing program required; possession of a bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field preferred (required within 3 years in position or effective date of job description).</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Experience:          </strong></p>\n<p>Three (3) years of recent clinical experience.  </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Licensure Requirement:       </strong></p>\n<p>Must have and maintain Tennessee State registered nurse license. CPR required.</p>",
