          "text": "<p><strong>Position Summary</strong><br>\nManitoulin Transport is currently seeking a Dispatcher to join our Central Disaptch operations team. This position plays a critical role in supporting Central Dispatch in coordinating the movement of freight to service terminals in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, helping ensure network fluidity, service standards, and on-time performance.<br>\n<br>\nThis is a fast-paced operational role requiring flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Support Central Dispatch in executing and coordinating freight movement across the network to service terminals efficiently</li><li>Consistently answer phones and support driver needs, including:<ul><li>Hook-up information</li><li>Departure times</li><li>Delay updates</li><li>Trip-related and operational concerns</li></ul></li><li>Work closely with terminal dock staff and managers to:<ul><li>Plan trips</li><li>Determine the most efficient and cost-effective freight movement</li><li>Book hotel rooms for drivers and issue purchase orders as required</li></ul></li><li>Bill shipments and:<ul><li>Manifest Trailers</li><li>Strip freight from manifests electronically as required&#xa0;</li></ul></li><li>Maintain and update multiple shared Google spreadsheets</li><li>Track shipments and assist customers after hours when Customer Service is closed</li><li>Work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>",
