Join our nationally recognized&nbsp;<strong>Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)</strong>&nbsp;at&nbsp;<strong>Inova Fairfax Medical Campus</strong>, part of the renowned&nbsp;<strong>Inova Schar Heart and Vascular Institute</strong>, and make a lasting impact in one of the region’s leading cardiac centers.</p>\n<p>We are seeking a part time Registered Nurse for the CVICU at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. &nbsp;<br/><strong>Shift</strong>: Day/Night rotation (2&nbsp;x 12-hour shifts per week).&nbsp;<br/><br/>The CVICU is a 24-bed, high-acuity unit located in Falls Church, VA, specializing in the care of patients post-cardiac and vascular surgery, heart and lung transplant, advanced heart failure, and other complex diagnoses requiring intensive monitoring and life-saving interventions. As part of the&nbsp;<strong>#1 hospital in Virginia</strong>&nbsp;(U.S. News &amp; World Report), our unit combines&nbsp;<strong>cutting-edge technology</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>interdisciplinary teamwork</strong>, and a deeply&nbsp;<strong>supportive culture</strong>&nbsp;where nurses thrive.</p>\n<p>The CVICU is a highly specialized unit providing the latest in clinical and patient care techniques. The unit prides itself in maintaining a culture of psychological safety where all disciplines are treated with respect and encouraged to participate in all aspects of patient care.&nbsp;<br/><br/>Support for all team members is of the utmost importance as evidenced by the following:&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Dedicated Charge RN that remains out of staffing to lead clinical operations, support staff and ensure high reliability throughout the shift.</li>\n <li>Advanced Resource Nurse who is device-trained to provide high acuity support (ECMO, IABP, Impella, CRRT) covers lunches, assist with admissions and serve as an in-unit mentor.</li>\n <li>Mid-shift RNs and Clinical Technicians each shift to ensure optimal staffing coverage, workflow balance and patient safety.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Full time Clinical Educator who provides onboarding, individualized learning pathways, certification prep (e.g., CCRN), and hands-on training. &nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Featured Benefits:</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Committed to Team Member Health: offering medical, dental and vision coverage, and a robust team member wellness program</li>\n <li>Retirement: Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions – starting on your first day.</li>\n <li>Tuition and Student Loan Assistance: offering up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans.</li>\n <li>Mental Health Support: offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Work/Life Balance: offering paid time off, paid parental leave, and flexible work schedules.<br/>&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>CVICU RN Minimum Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Experience:</strong> 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.</li>\n <li><strong>Education:</strong> BSN from an accredited school of nursing.&nbsp;<br/>If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.</li>\n <li><strong>Certifications</strong>: BLS for healthcare provider certification from AHA required. ACLS (must obtain within 6 months of hire).</li>\n <li><strong>Licensure:</strong> RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>2+ years CVICU RN experience.</li>\n <li>Unit involvement (committees, charge RN, precepting)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>IND1</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
