This position will lead the design, capacity planning, installation, configuration, clustering, performance tuning, and monitoring of large-scale Oracle and MongoDB deployments.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In addition, the role provides <strong>consultative support to development teams</strong> on database architecture, design, development best practices, and performance optimization — driving improvements in scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>While the primary focus is on <strong>Oracle and MongoDB</strong>, experience with <strong>SQL Server</strong> or <strong>cloud-native database technologies</strong> (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI or Atlas) is a plus.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle and MongoDB databases across multiple environments.</li>\n <li>Plan, allocate, and manage system storage, ensuring future scalability.</li>\n <li>Create and manage core database objects and structures.</li>\n <li>Implement and maintain database security, user access, and role management.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain physical data models and enforce database standards.</li>\n <li>Proactively monitor and tune databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.</li>\n <li>Implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies (Oracle RMAN/Data Guard, MongoDB replication/backup).</li>\n <li>Implement archiving solutions and lifecycle management for data retention.</li>\n <li>Analyze and document database infrastructure, hardware, and technology requirements.</li>\n <li>Partner with development teams to review code and design for performance, scalability, and alignment with best practices.</li>\n <li>Provide expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for database-related incidents.</li>\n <li>Mentor development and data warehouse teams on advanced SQL, PL/SQL, and MongoDB query optimization.</li>\n <li>Continually improve DBA standards, procedures, and automation practices.</li>\n <li>Provide on-call support and occasional travel as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><u>Education:</u></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field preferred</p>\n<p>High school diploma or GED equivalent required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>Experience</u></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>5+ years</strong> of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in enterprise-scale environments.</li>\n <li><strong>5+ years</strong> of experience with <strong>high availability</strong> (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, failover, replication).</li>\n <li><strong>5+ years</strong> of advanced SQL/PLSQL development and performance tuning.</li>\n <li><strong>5+ years</strong> of supporting developers with application design, query tuning, and schema optimization.</li>\n <li><strong>3+ years</strong> of hands-on MongoDB administration experience (replica sets, sharding, backups, monitoring).</li>\n <li><strong>3+ years</strong> of experience with <strong>Linux administration</strong> (shell scripting, system tuning, automation).</li>\n <li>Experience with <strong>automation frameworks</strong> (Ansible, BitBucket, Terraform, or similar)</li>\n <li>Experience with <strong>database monitoring and observability tools</strong> (OEM, SolarWinds/DPA, PMM, DataDog, Grafana)</li>\n <li>Exposure to <strong>cloud-native environments</strong> (AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP)</li>\n <li>Familiarity with <strong>DevOps/CI/CD pipelines</strong> for database changes</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>Skills</u></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Deep expertise with <strong>Oracle RDBMS internals</strong> (RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN).</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of <strong>MongoDB internals</strong> (replica sets, sharding, WiredTiger, security).</li>\n <li>Proficiency in <strong>SQL and PL/SQL coding and tuning</strong>.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in <strong>Linux system administration</strong> (shell scripting, performance tuning).</li>\n <li>Knowledge of <strong>networking fundamentals</strong> and how they affect distributed databases.</li>\n <li>Strong ability to <strong>gather, interpret, and document requirements</strong>.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills: oral, written, and presentation.</li>\n <li>Strong <strong>interpersonal and customer service skills</strong>;
