The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing business growth, strengthening our market position, and partnering with leadership to develop and execute a vision for continued success throughout the <strong>Greater Dallas-Fort Worth region</strong>. For the right individual, this position provides the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of the practice, mentor emerging leaders, and help shape the delivery of transformative transportation projects across North Texas.</p>\n<h3>Business Development, Client Growth & Market Leadership</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and implement strategic growth initiatives aligned with GFT's business objectives and long-term vision</li>\n <li>Identify, position for, and pursue new transportation opportunities across highways, bridges, transit, rail, and multimodal infrastructure markets</li>\n <li>Build and maintain trusted relationships with key clients, industry partners, and community stakeholders</li>\n <li>Lead strategic pursuit efforts, including go/no-go evaluations, teaming strategies, capture planning, and interview preparation</li>\n <li>Collaborate with leaders across business lines and geographies to maximize client service opportunities and expand GFT's service offerings</li>\n <li>Represent GFT at industry conferences, professional organizations, client meetings, and community events</li>\n <li>Monitor industry trends, transportation funding initiatives, competitive activity, and client capital programs to identify growth opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Operations & Practice Leadership</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Partner with the Texas Operations Leader to execute the Area business plan and support achievement of key operational objectives</li>\n <li>Drive performance related to revenue growth, profitability, utilization, sales, and overall business performance</li>\n <li>Provide leadership and oversight on strategic projects, serving as Project Principal, Senior Project Manager, or Executive Sponsor when appropriate</li>\n <li>Support workforce planning, staffing strategies, and resource management to meet current and future business needs</li>\n <li>Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement</li>\n <li>Mentor and develop staff while supporting succession planning and leadership development initiatives</li>\n <li>Champion client satisfaction and project excellence across all engagements within the Area</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2></h2>\n<h2>What you will bring to our firm</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field</li>\n <li>15+ years of progressive leadership experience within the transportation, infrastructure, or engineering consulting industry in the North Texas area.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated success driving business development, client relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of the North Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth) transportation market, including key public-sector agencies, funding programs, and regional priorities</li>\n <li>Proven ability to develop trusted client relationships and lead complex pursuits from opportunity identification through contract award</li>\n <li>Experience managing teams, business operations, project delivery, and financial performance metrics</li>\n <li>Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills</li>\n <li>Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic growth objectives with operational execution</li>\n <li>Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and collaboration</li>\n <li>Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p>At GFT, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the future of transportation infrastructure across North Texas while building a lasting legacy within a growing and nationally recognized organization.
