This role focuses on ensuring that fabricated products meet customer specifications, applicable codes, and internal quality standards.</p>\n<p>The Quality Engineer will support project teams by developing project-specific inspection and test plans, coordinating inspections with subcontractors and third-party inspection agencies, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. The role requires strong technical familiarity with <strong>welded fabrication, piping systems, structural steel, and associated inspection requirements</strong>.</p>\n<p>The Quality Engineer is responsible for verifying product quality, ensuring that inspections and quality control procedures are executed in accordance with project specifications, and confirming compliance with customer and end-user requirements. The role will also involve supporting product testing and working closely with Engineering and Operations teams during fabrication and assembly.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Your Responsibilities Will Be: </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Sales teams to ensure product quality and compliance with project specifications and customer requirements.</p>\n<p>• Develop and maintain <strong>project-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)</strong> based on customer specifications, applicable codes, and internal requirements.</p>\n<p>• Coordinate and support <strong>shop and field inspections</strong> with internal teams, subcontractors, and third-party inspection agencies.</p>\n<p>• Review fabrication drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure appropriate quality control and inspection requirements are defined.</p>\n<p>• Support quality inspections of <strong>fabricated skids, piping systems, and structural steel assemblies</strong> at subcontractor and supplier facilities.</p>\n<p>• Verify conformance of fabricated components and assemblies to <strong>engineering drawings, weld procedures, and applicable codes and standards</strong>.</p>\n<p>• Work with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure required inspection points, hold points, and documentation requirements are met during fabrication.</p>\n<p>• Support development and review of <strong>Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Records (WPQ)</strong> in accordance with applicable codes.</p>\n<p>• Coordinate <strong>NDE inspections</strong> including radiography, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle, dye penetrant, and visual inspections as required.</p>\n<p>• Ensure inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation are complete and maintained for project turnover and customer documentation packages.</p>\n<p>• Serve as a liaison with <strong>customer inspectors, third-party inspection agencies, and internal teams</strong> during project inspections and audits.</p>\n<p>• Support investigation and resolution of non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented as required.</p>\n<p>• Perform additional duties as assigned.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications: </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering; required, Mechanical Engineering; preferred.</li>\n <li>3-5 years of relevant experience or 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering within welded fabrication, piping, or structural steel manufacturing environments unless have Mechanical Engineering degree</li>\n <li>Strong experience working in fabrication shops supporting project-based inspections and quality control activities.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with applicable fabrication and inspection codes and standards including:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>ASME Section IX (Welding Qualifications)</li>\n  <li>AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code</li>\n  <li>ASME Section V (Nondestructive Examination)</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Experience coordinating NDE inspections and third-party inspection agencies.</li>\n <li>Experience reviewing WPS, PQR, WPQ, weld maps, and inspection documentation preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience working with customer inspectors such as ABS, DNV, BV, TUV, or similar agencies.”</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.</li>\n <li>CWI or ASQ certifications (Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate) preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience in skid fabrication, piping systems, pressure equipment, or structural steel fabrication strongly preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Ability to Travel 15% of the time</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role can be based in Dallas, TX, Tulsa, OK or Houston, TX.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>   </p>\n<p><strong>ADA Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Work Environment: This position is based at the headquarters located in Dallas, TX. Minimal physical requirements, primarily computer use, and communication via virtual platforms, are necessary. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.
