    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a Mahjong Host for our gaming section here at Parkwest Bicycle Casino! </p>\n<p>Who is ready to go the extra mile on every occasion to delight and astound our guests, and someone who will always look for opportunities to improve our service. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a Mahjong Host, you will provide top-notch customer service to players in the Mahjong Gaming area ensuring they have a fun, smooth, and personalized experience.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Initiate Mahjong games and ensure players are seated in a timely and organized manner.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with support staff to maintain efficient service within the Mahjong area.</li>\n<li>Provide seating instructions and explain Mahjong rules to new or unfamiliar players.</li>\n<li>Monitor game flow and behavior, ensuring that all play aligns with established rules and etiquette; report any irregularities or disputes to management.</li>\n<li>Maintain a thorough understanding of Mahjong rules and table procedures.</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with Title 31 regulations, including appropriate record-keeping, player interactions, and reporting any suspicious financial activity to the appropriate personnel.</li>\n<li>Greet guests regularly at the tables, offering assistance, building rapport, and creating a welcoming experience.</li>\n<li>Observe and respond to guest preferences and playing styles, anticipating needs and personalizing interactions when possible.</li>\n<li>Seat players based on table availability, game flow, and player needs.</li>\n<li>Keep track of player interest lists and wait times; manage seating rotations efficiently.</li>\n<li>Identify the need to open new Mahjong tables and coordinate setup with other team members or supervisors.</li>\n<li>Report any concerns about game integrity, safety, or guest disputes to the designated shift manager.</li>\n<li>Perform additional job-related tasks as needed or directed by his supervisor.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Fluency in Chinese including Mandarin and Cantonese required to effectively communicate with a diverse guest population.</li>\n <li>Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check, credit, and drug test</li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment team member permit, badge or license and a city license.</li>\n <li>Interacts well with guests and co-workers</li>\n <li>Available for full time work, open availability to any given shift which will include weekends and evenings.</li>\n <li>Able to interact with, understand and respond to common complaints and inquiries</li>\n <li>Basic computer program and keyboarding proficiency.</li>\n <li>Knowledge in the safe and appropriate use of tools and procedures related to the essential functions of the job</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong> </p>\n<p>High school diploma or general education degree (GED).</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong> </p>\n<p>Two to four years in a customer-service position or similar environment or combination of education or experience.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<strong>Physical and Mental Requirements: </strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Required to stand and walk short distances within the course of the day.</li>\n <li>Regularly required to see, talk and hear.
