The ideal candidate will have experience in the building construction industry and an interest in HVAC and Plumbing systems design. The Mechanical Design Engineer will thrive in a collaborative, and results-driven environment, contributing directly to the execution of our mission and vison. Serving as the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be an asset in supporting the design of our retail projects and meeting our longstanding clients' needs. The role will report directly to the VP of Engineering. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This position is available at our Pittsburgh or Portersville office.</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Design Engineer's Priorities</span></em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span>Assist in the design of various mechanical systems for</span> building construction projects under the supervision of Project Leadership</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Develop accurate designs/drawings that comply with all applicable codes and company drafting standards, practices, and procedures</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Perform heating/cooling load calculations and building energy modeling<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Prepare technical reports, edit specifications, and undertake technical investigation studies</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Coordinate internally with all engineering design teams</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Participate in the quality assurance process, project time budgeting, milestone design review and inter-discipline cross-checking</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Coordinate with Code Officials and provide code summaries for projects<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Coordinate time and schedule to work on multiple projects concurrently</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Participate in all scheduled team communication, meetings, and trainings</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Need</span></em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an ABET Accredited College in Mechanical Engineering or related field</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span>Minimum internship or relevant experience designing commercial and retail mechanical systems including HVAC air, plumbing and water systems</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Solid experience using <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">both</span> AutoCAD and Revit software</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Knowledge in MEP building/energy codes, and working with Utility Companies and Local Municipalities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">High level of Personal Integrity, Professionalism and Honesty with one's own ability</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt\">Excellent critical thinking skills and desire to collaborate and take on challenges</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt\">Related Certifications such as EIT, CPDT or CPD are a plus!</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why WNA</span></em></p>\n<p>Our firm continues to thrive in an ever-competitive industry where reputation matters.
