Overnight and out-of-town travel is required; transportation is not provided. The Company covers the expense of lodging, fuel, and meals.&nbsp;</span></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong><u>Overview</u></strong></span></p><p>Throughout ten weeks, the Intern will gain practical knowledge of Dredging Operations by working hands-on alongside Site Safety Officers, Field Engineers, and Project Management and following the outline of the Summer Internship Program Guide. This program offers the following benefits.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Valuable hands-on experience in dredging operations</p><p>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Mentorship from seasoned professionals in the industry</p><p>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Exposure to diverse projects and challenges in the field</p><p>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Potential for future career opportunities within the company</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><u>Essential Functions (This is not all-inclusive)</u></span></strong></p><ul><li>Upholds the Company&rsquo;s commitment to an injury-free workplace; leads and models safe work practices.&nbsp;</li><li>Follows all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Works safely around machinery; observes and instructs others in proper equipment use/wears all required PPE.</li><li>Aids in Project Management functions to include estimating, contracts, rented and leased equipment, and production reports.</li><li>Reviews project correspondence, contractual compliance, project status reporting, USACE relationships, and RMS</li><li>Participates in Field Operations, including job site visits, equipment overview, yard and warehouse operations, and equipment operations.</li><li>Assists with work orders, maintenance schedules, capital expenditures, mechanical repairs, inventory management, and shipping and receiving.</li><li>Shadows Site Safety Officer and observe dredge specific safety protocols, JHAs, hazard hunts, emergency procedures, and incident reporting.</li><li>Observes all job functions on various dredges to include Surveyor QC, Chief Engineer, and Deckhand</li><li>Works with Management in areas of Risk Management, Director of Operations, Superintendent, Project Management</li><li>Prepares executive presentation at completion of internship to the CEO, President, Vice President of Human Resources, and CFO</li></ul><p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><u>Minimum Qualifications</u></span></strong></p><ul><li>Currently enrolled in a Bachelor&nbsp;of Science degree program, with the successful completion of 24 hours applied to related degree.</li><li>Passion for the maritime industry and interest in marine construction</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills</li><li>Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.</li><li>MS: Outlook, Excel, Word, OneDrive - ability to create MS Excel spreadsheets and data reports.</li><li>Excellent&nbsp;verbal&nbsp;and&nbsp;written&nbsp;communication</li><li>Ability to meet physical requirements of the position as outlined in the Functional Job Description&nbsp;</li><li>The candidate must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment screening (observed drug test) and random drug and alcohol testing.</li><li>Must have clear MVR and have reliable transportation for travel.</li><li>Must be authorized to work in the US; this internship is not eligible for VISA sponsorship.</li></ul><p><strong>Candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered.</strong></p><p>Encore Dredging Partners, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
