As a fully competent designer, the Mechanical Designer is capable of independent work, has developed basic technical skills, and is experienced in engineering practices. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and supports the execution of design tasks while ensuring compliance with industry standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This role will be onsite in Athens, GA. Relocation Assistance is available.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Independently Design and develop transformer related enclosures, assemblies, and related components under the guidance of more experienced engineers, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, UL, IEC, CSA).</li>\n <li>Contribute to failure analysis efforts by collecting data and assisting in identifying potential causes under supervision.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, sales, and customer service to ensure successful integration of designs into production.</li>\n <li>Prepare and maintain basic engineering documentation, including design notes, reports, and test results, under close supervision.</li>\n <li>Participate in design reviews and contribute to discussions by providing data and technical support.</li>\n <li>Learn and stay informed on industry trends and regulatory requirements to support compliant designs.</li>\n <li>Support continuous improvement efforts by participating in process and product improvements as directed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate’s degree in technical field or related technical certification</li>\n <li>More than 5 years of experience in drafting or mechanical design, with a focus on transformer or related product design.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with basic design and analysis tools, such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks</li>\n <li>Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, UL, IEC, CSA) and regulatory requirements (e.g. DOE) for transformers or components.</li>\n <li>Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills in transformer or related product design.</li>\n <li>Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.</li>\n <li>Organized, with the ability to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.</li>\n <li>Applicants with hands-on transformer experience and/or product knowledge with technical potential may be considered</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Let’s Build the Future Together</strong></p>\n<p>At ERMCO, your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and your impact is real.
