The program of study for the Criminal Justice and Homeland Security degrees may be reviewed in the university catalog.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Subject matter expertise in Homeland Security, including intelligence, terrorism, and emergency management.</li>\n\t<li>Ability to integrate professional practice with academic theory in applied classroom settings</li>\n\t<li>Ability to incorporate applied learning strategies such as case studies, simulations, scenario-based exercises, and professional skill development.</li>\n\t<li>Demonstrated interpersonal/intrapersonal skills, especially in engaging with traditional and non-traditional university students.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Develop and teach undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security</li>\n\t<li>Maintain regular office hours and clear communication with students</li>\n\t<li>Advise and mentor assigned students regarding educational and career goals.</li>\n\t<li>Serve on university committees</li>\n\t<li>Contribute to curriculum development and program assessment</li>\n\t<li>Build and maintain professional partnerships that support student career opportunities</li>\n\t<li>Engage in ongoing professional development</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n\n<p>&#160;</p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Evidence of rigorous, creative, and effective teaching at the collegiate level.</li>\n\t<li>Experience working with diverse student populations.</li>\n\t<li>Experience in law enforcement, homeland security, emergency management, or related field are strongly preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Education:&#160;</strong>Completed master&#8217;s or terminal degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or related field.
