In lieu of a medical coding education, an active coding certification is required. Required<br>\n   Graduate of a Health Information Technology program. Preferred</p>\n  <p><br><strong><u>Work Experience</u></strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>2 years Two years of progressive inpatient facility coding experience. Required</li>\n   <li>2 years Two or more years of inpatient facility coding experience in an Academic Medical Center and/or Level 1 Trauma Center. Preferred</li>\n  </ul>\n  <p><strong><u>Licensure and Certifications</u></strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
