We seek employees who bring different and innovative ways of seeing the world and solving problems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Courier I is responsible for the pick-up, transportation and delivery of lab specimens, medical records, medications, and patient related documentation within the Fred Hutch clinic and campus.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This is a full-time, hourly position. Shift is 10:30am-7:00pm. Location is onsite at our South Lake Union campus. </strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Deliver all specimens, medications, and patient-related materials, accurately and within an appropriate time frame.  </li>\n <li>Monitor courier phone and manage shifting priorities to maintain route schedule (if applicable). </li>\n <li>Maintain courier logs, ensure courier entries are legible, accurate and adhere to standard written procedures. </li>\n <li>Report and assist with tracking of missing or damaged specimens, medications, and patient related materials. </li>\n <li>Assist with training new couriers as needed.                                                           </li>\n <li>Fill in for other routes as needed or other Supply Chain. </li>\n <li>Assist with storeroom duties during downtime.     </li>\n <li>Adhere to departmental procedures and Fred Hutch policies.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A High School Degree, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Pharmacy Assistant License (must be able to attain a Pharmacy Assistant License within 45 days of hire).</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills. </li>\n <li>Ability to communicate in person as well as in writing professionally and effectively.</li>\n <li>Excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills. </li>\n <li>Knowledge of computerized or automated system operations and record keeping practices. </li>\n <li>Basic math skills and knowledge of units of measure. </li>\n <li>Ability to lift to 50 pounds using proper techniques. </li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. </li>\n <li>Ability to consistently walk for the majority of an eight-hour shift and/on average of 10-12 miles per day. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>One year relevant experience preferred</li>\n <li>Knowledge and practice of safe blood borne pathogen handling techniques. </li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The hourly pay range for this position is from $21.30 to $30.13 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
