Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Communications Specialist will partner with the Director of Marketing and VP of Sales & Marketing to support the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth. This role is responsible for creating and delivering high-quality marketing communications across digital, print, and event channels within a highly technical life sciences environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the execution of SEO/SEM strategies for highly technical service offerings (e.g., cGMP testing, analytical testing, environmental monitoring)
• Optimize website performance, including web traffic, key word rankings, conversions and user experience
• Manage and update website content, analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements
• Coordinate with and manage external vendors and agencies (SEO, web development, design)
• Support graphic design initiatives using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
• Develop and execute integrated marketing communications campaigns to drive qualified leads and pipeline growth
• Ensure consistency and adherence to brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all channels
• Create and manage content for social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) to increase engagement and visibility
• Develop, maintain, and optimize marketing materials including digital assets, print collateral, presentations, and sales tools
• Assist with internal communications to ensure alignment across departments
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, technical teams, and leadership to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling messaging
• Basic familiarity with HTML or other coding language is a plus
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
• 2+ years of marketing or communications experience, preferably within the life sciences or a technical industry
• Experience with marketing tools and platforms (e.g., CMS, SEO tools, social media platforms)
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, and other presentation tools (e.g., Prezi is a plus)
• Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn for B2B marketing
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
• Strong strategic, creative, and analytical thinking skills
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical content into clear messaging
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to quality, integrity, and continuous improvement
