Work as part of team that includes Cancer and Blood Disorder physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nursing, social work, physical therapy, nutrition, child life, clinic assistants and researchers. The department at Children's of Minnesota provides care for children of all ages with all types of malignancies including brain tumors, solid tumors, and leukemia; and blood disorders such as sickle cell disease, bleeding disorders, and anemia. As the largest provider of services for children with cancer and bleeding disorders in the region, the Cancer and Blood Disorders program focuses on providing well-coordinated knowledge-driven clinical care. We participate in national and international research and are leaders in research on supportive care and quality of life for children with cancer and bleeding disorders. Position Summary The Clinic Manager is an operational leader who is accountable for day to day management of ambulatory clinics assuring excellent patient care and customer service. The Clinic Manager works in a paired leadership role with a Medical Director dyad to execute on key strategies to improve clinical quality, experience and financial performance. Supports one or more clinic locations and/or one or more specialty programs. Education: *BA/BS Degree in healthcare, business, or related field required *MHA, MBA, MS preferred Required Experience: *3+ years of management or leadership experience in the healthcare industry or completion of a MHA, MBA, MPH fellowship program in healthcare/clinical operations Preferred Experience: *Previous experience in managing a minimum of 10 staff people *Experience working in ambulatory clinics *Experience in pediatrics and designated specialty (if applicable) *Experience managing a P&L and budgeting Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *Driving the execution of strategic priorities *Inspiring & empowering others *Fostering open dialogue & teamwork, building relationships *Strong organizational, analytical, communication & interpersonal skills *Proven critical thinking and problem solving abilities, including resolving complex problems requiring innovative solutions *Experience managing a P&L and budgeting Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *Experience designing and implementing care delivery and service excellence strategies, using Lean management theory/continuous improvement methodology preferred *A passion for learning *Ability to present oneself and one's ideas with clarity, confidence and poise *Strong computer skills Physical Demands Please click here to view the Physical Demands The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week).
