    "description": "<p>This position will be open until filled.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Carmichael Recreation &amp; Park District is seeking a motivated and engaging Art (Multi-Discipline, Beginner) Instructor to lead classes for our community. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about teaching and creating a positive, welcoming environment for participants of all ages and skill levels.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">About the Position</span></p>\n<p>The Art Instructor will plan and lead classes in beginner-level drawing, painting, and mixed media art instruction across multiple disciplines. Class types can include, but are not limited to, watercolor, drawing, acrylic painting, sketching, crafts, scrapbooking, textiles, and other creative art forms. Instructors play a key role in delivering high-quality recreation programs that promote learning, wellness, and community connection.</p>\n<p>This position is part-time and hourly, with scheduling and hours varying based on program needs.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan and lead engaging, well-structured classes in Art (preference for Multi-disciplined, Beginner classes)</li>\n<li>Adapt instruction to meet varying ages and skill levels</li>\n<li>Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment</li>\n<li>Manage class flow, participant behavior, and engagement</li>\n<li>Set up and clean up equipment and program space</li>\n<li>Maintain attendance and communicate with staff as needed</li>\n<li>Provide excellent customer service to participants and families</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with District policies and safety procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Minimum Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience teaching, coaching, or leading Art Classes or in a related field</li>\n<li>Ability to work with all ages (youth through older adults)</li>\n<li>Strong communication and group management skills</li>\n<li>Reliable, organized, and able to work independently</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Preferred Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certification in art degree, art education background, or equivalent experience</li>\n<li>Previous experience in parks &amp; recreation or community programming</li>\n<li>Experience developing lesson plans or curriculum</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Special Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be at least 18 years of age</li>\n<li>CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 3 months upon hire</li>\n<li>Additional certifications may be required depending on program</li>\n</ul>\n<p>You may also be asked to provide:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Resume</li>\n<li>Relevant certifications</li>\n<li>Sample class outline or teaching style (if applicable)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Compensation</span></p>\n<p>$25 - $35 DOE</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Why Join Us?</span></p>\n<p>Join Carmichael Recreation &amp; Park District and share your passion with the community while making a meaningful impact.
