    "description": "<p>Position Summary</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The purpose of the position of Mine Geologist is to aid the Project Mine Geologists with ore drive development mapping and direction control, air leg rise mapping, UG sampling, ore spotting, and stockpile management.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Key areas of Responsibility</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Safety</p>\n<p>·         Ensure safe work systems/procedures are always practised and adhered to and ensure duties are performed in a manner that minimises risk to employees and contractors</p>\n<p>·         Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times, safe work, incident/accident reporting &amp; active involvement in safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment</p>\n<p>·         Understand and familiarise oneself with site Emergency evacuation procedures</p>\n<p>·         Abide by and proactively comply with Company policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems, as well as all relevant legislation</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote a strong safety culture across all work groups and work areas</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Leadership</p>\n<p>·         Display conduct which is aligned with company Core Values, Policies and Procedures</p>\n<p>·         Lead by example and actively participate to achieve department and company goals and objectives</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain a strong level of leadership with colleagues and contractor personnel ensuring company Core Values, Policies and Procedures are upheld</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Behaviour / Attitude</p>\n<p>·         Support and follow all lawful instructions/directives from your supervisor</p>\n<p>·         Maintain a high level of professionalism and take responsibility for own conduct and behaviour in the workplace</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Uphold a strong professional relationship with contractors</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Underground</em></span></p>\n<p>·         Complete underground mapping, photography and sampling of ore drives, and air leg rises and provide mining direction to ensure optimal ore position for stoping</p>\n<p>·         Ensure ore is extracted to maximise recovery and minimise ore loss and dilution</p>\n<p>·         Undertake sludge and stockpile sampling as required</p>\n<p>·         Mark up ore drives and stope areas ahead of mining</p>\n<p>·         Maintain accurate records to maximise recovery and minimise dilution</p>\n<p>·         Ensure all data captured is recorded in a timely manner</p>\n<p>·         Provide company representation and geological direction for personnel on night shift</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>General</em></span></p>\n<p>·         Assist in entry of production data and the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports</p>\n<p>·         Liaise with the Geologists and Metallurgists to assist with ROM ore stockpile management to optimise the blend into the Process Plant</p>\n<p>·         Update all plans and sections with production, survey, and drilling data</p>\n<p>·         Assist with training Geological Technicians</p>\n<p>·         Assist with general on-site and underground operations as required</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Other duties as directed by your supervisor</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Teamwork</p>\n<p>·         Attend and actively participate in shift change meetings and provide accurate handover notes/information on problems, events, and process changes to cross shift</p>\n<p>·         Communicate and promote effective cross functional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate and support business improvement initiatives within the business</li>\n</ul>\n<p>·         Work as part of a small team and actively contribute</p>\n<p>·         Communicate relevant information and data to other personnel through formalised shift changes and use data reporting systems</p>\n<p>·         Identify specific areas that have the potential for improvement and cost savings</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in and utilise the change management process for identified problems and opportunities to make improvements</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Planning and Organization</p>\n<p>·         Prioritise and complete tasks accurately as to specifications as assigned by your supervisor within required timeframes</p>\n<p>·         Be punctual to work and all required site meetings</p>\n<p>Undertake other duties as lawfully instructed</p>",
