Our innovative culture will allow interested candidates to discover and create, through collaboration, cutting edge solutions to tough problems.</p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>The Shipping Clerk I position is responsible for all outbound shipments including picking, packing and processing, as well as verifying and maintaining records on outgoing shipments.</p>\n<h2>Key Duties</h2>\n<p>Major Duties and Responsibilities</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, etc.</li>\n <li>Picking, packing and processing all outgoing shipments.</li>\n <li>Post weights, shipping charges and prepare material for shipping.</li>\n <li>Palletizing, shrink-wrapping, loading prepare material for shipment.</li>\n <li>Maintain files and records of shipping documents for domestic and international transactions.</li>\n <li>Operates forklifts and order picker and all other warehouse equipment in a safe and cautious manner.</li>\n <li>Responsible for preparing documentation for hazardous material shipments.</li>\n <li>Responsible for stocking finished goods into slot locations in finished goods coolers, assuring proper storage.</li>\n <li>Comply with FDA, QSR and ISO regulations as required.</li>\n <li>Physically counts all items on daily cycle count list.</li>\n <li>May be required to work non-standard shifts and weekends to support department needs.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Other Duties/Physical Requirements</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs throughout the work day in a multi-functional facility.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift, on a daily basis, up to 25 pounds of supplies or finished products.</li>\n <li>Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicle (van).</li>\n <li>Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (lab coat, safety glasses, latex or nitrile gloves and hair net).</li>\n <li>Must be willing to package hazardous materials.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in refrigerator temperatures ranging from 2-8C.</li>\n <li>Must be able to analyze, concentrate and interpret processes routinely through the course of the work shift and remain focused in a fast paced open environment throughout the course of the work day.</li>\n <li>Ability to stand for long periods of time, stoop, reach, bend, push and pull carts and hand jacks throughout the course of the work shift.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Minimum Education or Equivalent Experience Required/Preferred</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED is required.</li>\n <li>Prior experience in warehousing preferred.</li>\n <li>Previous FDA regulated environment experience preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Competencies Required or Preferred</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be self-starter, detail oriented and organized and be able to prioritize and balance workloads and meet strict critical deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Must be licensed to operate the forklifts and order picker.</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills along with excellent customer service and satisfaction skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality requirements.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work additional hours outside the normal work shift to support department needs (evenings and weekends).</li>\n <li>Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting with peers and other departments in a cross functional setting.</li>\n <li>Computer proficiency (Word and Excel) previous materials handling applications (MAPICS) desirable.</li>\n <li>Must have basic math skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and analyzing skills.</li>\n <li>Must obtain certification to ship hazardous materials/DOT compliant within one year of hire.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Required Travel %</p>\n<ul>\n <li>None</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>*All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected status.
