Instructors serve as educators and resort ambassadors while promoting safety, fun, learning, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include teaching lessons, supporting team culture, participating in training, and contributing to overall department goals.</p><p></p><p>Part-time instructors are expected to work 2-3 days a week, and full-time instructors are expected to work 4-6 days a week.</p><p></p><p><b>Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities</b>:</p><ul><li>Teach beginner ski &amp; snowboard lessons, primarily to children ages 4–17</li><li>Provide safe, engaging lessons tailored to guest ability levels</li><li>Create a supportive learning environment focused on confidence and progression</li><li>Assess student abilities and provide constructive feedback</li><li>Follow all safety protocols and mountain policies</li><li>Attend required training and professional development opportunities</li><li>Assist with snow shoveling, learning area setup/teardown, lesson records, incident reports, and other assigned duties</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Specific Job Skills</b>:</p><p><u>License/Certifications</u>- PSIA Certifications preferred</p><p><u>Physical Capabilities</u>-</p><ul><li>Employee must be capable of skiing or snowboarding in all types of terrain in varying and sometimes hazardous snow and weather conditions at an intermediate level.</li><li>Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, in ski/ride equipment.</li><li>Must be capable of frequently or constantly balancing, reaching, squatting, bending, kneeling, stooping, handling and twisting.</li><li>May require out of the ordinary skiing or snowboarding movements in order to assist children on the mountain.</li><li>Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 75bs.    </li></ul><p><u>Additional</u>-</p><ul><li>Excellent and professional verbal communication skills are necessary</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment with a growth mindset and desire to collaborate, communicate and encourage.</li><li>Willingness to continue personal development in the realms of people skills, teaching skills and technical skills</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education/Related Experience</b>:</p><p>Previous experience working with Children preferred. Previous experience as a ski/ride instructor preferred.</p><p></p><p><b>Equipment and Safety/Protective Equipment Used</b>:</p><ul><li>Current and in working condition ski and/or snowboard equipment. Ski bindings required to be tested by our repair shop.</li><li>Helmets are required and can be provided at no cost.</li></ul>",
