This position shares responsibility for maintaining Pasta Montana&rsquo;s food safety, quality and legality program under the BRC guidelines.</p><p>&nbsp;Pasta Montana team members are expected to maintain a positive work atmosphere through communication and behaving in a manner that is courteous and respectful to all customers, vendors, contractors, co-workers, leads and management. &nbsp;Pasta Montana team members are also expected to have on-time, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and must always be aware of and pay attention to their surroundings.</p><p>&nbsp;<u>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;</u> &nbsp;</p><ol><li>Packages product following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). &nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"2\"><li>Gains knowledge of and follows all food safety requirements including GMP&rsquo;s, HACCP and BRC.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"3\"><li>Follows work instructions/directives correctly.<u>&nbsp;</u></li></ol><ol start=\"4\"><li>Fulfills packaging schedule in a safe and orderly manner. &nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"5\"><li>Maintains an accurate pack count in every case.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"6\"><li>Ensure cases are properly taped.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"7\"><li>Maintains good housekeeping principles at all times and maintains an organized and neat work area. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"8\"><li>Operates equipment safely and effectively.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"9\"><li>Communicate effectively and efficiently with all co-workers and departments. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"10\"><li>Ensures proper pallet configurations and layer count per finished product specifications. &nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"11\"><li>Strives to minimize pasta waste and prevent products from hitting the floor. &nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"12\"><li>Ensure bag and case codes are on the bag/case and they are correct. &nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"13\"><li>Physically ensures that bag seals are correct.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"14\"><li>Ensures that packaging materials are kept clean.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"15\"><li>Ability to learn and run equipment in the absence of Packaging Operator (PO). &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"16\"><li>Communicates issues with product to the PO, Floater and/or Lead.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"17\"><li>When Line is stopped, work area/Line is to be swept, cleaned, vacuumed, and organized.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"18\"><li>At the end of shift, ensure that the work area is clean and ready for the next shift to start. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"19\"><li>Performs other duties as assigned by the PO, Floater, Lead and/or Packaging Manager. &nbsp;</li></ol><p>&nbsp;<u>QUALIFICATIONS:</u></p><p>&nbsp;Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.</p><p>&nbsp;Minimum Experience: Some prior plant or commercial experience preferred. &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of packaging principles, processes and good manufacturing practices is helpful. &nbsp;Understanding of personnel and safety standards. &nbsp;Able to identify quality deficiencies and assist in correcting them. &nbsp;Able to function as a motivated team member in a highly dynamic environment. &nbsp;Able to work and communicate effectively in a team setting. &nbsp;Able to learn, troubleshoot and multi-task. &nbsp;Able to learn, troubleshoot and multi-task.
