    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">Job Description: PICC RN/ Vascular Access Specialist&nbsp;</p><p>Position Reports To: Regional Manager/ Clinical Liaison</p><p>The job of PICC RN/ Vascular Access Specialist was established for the purpose/s of providing expert&nbsp;</p><p>vascular access services to the patients of our clients. Working within the guidelines set forth by the state&nbsp;</p><p>in which these employees are licensed and also working within the guidelines set forth by the Company,&nbsp;</p><p>the PICC RN/ Vascular Access Specialist will maintain a high level of professionalism and skill.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><p>Vascular Access</p><p>&bull; Bedside insertion of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs).</p><p>&bull; Bedside insertion of midlines and extended dwell catheters.</p><p>&bull; Bedside insertion of peripheral IV catheters.</p><p>&bull; Establishing access via intravascular ports.</p><p>&bull; Examination, assessment and evaluation of patients with vascular access devices.</p><p>Education</p><p>&bull; Educates all patients and family members on the procedures to be completed.</p><p>&bull; Answers any questions regarding procedures to be done.</p><p>&bull; Educates staff when necessary.</p><p>Documentation</p><p>&bull; Clearly documents procedures completed as per client policy and per the policy of the&nbsp;</p><p>Company.</p><p>Competencies</p><p>&bull; Current RN license in the state in which the employee is working.</p><p>&bull; Current ACLS and BCLS certifications.</p><p>&bull; Completed vascular access competency skills checklist.</p><p>&bull; Communication Proficiency.</p><p>&bull; Personal Effectiveness/Credibility.</p><p>&bull; Patient/Client Focus.</p><p>Work Environment</p><p>This job operates in a wide variety of environments ranging through all types of healthcare facilities.&nbsp;</p><p>Driving from client facility to client facility may account for a large part of the usual workday. This&nbsp;</p><p>role routinely uses portable ultrasound equipment, medical supplies, mobile phones, and computers.</p><p><br></p><p>Physical Demands</p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to&nbsp;</p><p>successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the&nbsp;</p><p>employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. This is generally a physical role entailing driving,&nbsp;</p><p>standing bending over and lifting objects up to 20 pounds. This would require the ability to lift&nbsp;</p><p>equipment, assist in the repositioning of patients, stand for procedures.</p><p>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</p><p>Based on employment status and region, the employee&rsquo;s shifts may range from 12 to 24 hours on call.&nbsp;</p><p>Expectations for number of shifts per payroll period differ as to job status as well. Shift expectations&nbsp;</p><p>may be from one to three shifts per week.</p><p>Required Education and Experience</p><p>RN licensure is required for all employees of this type. A minimum to two years nursing experience&nbsp;</p><p>in a critical care area is also preferred. One year of vascular access experience including the insertion&nbsp;</p><p>of PICCs is preferred.
