    "description_html": "<p>The Limited Radiologic Technologist Student Intern (Rad Tech-Intern) plays a critical role in supporting patient care at Iowa Ortho by assisting with clinical procedures, performing limited diagnostic imaging, and preparing patients under the direction of a physician and/or APP. This role involves a combination of imaging, documentation, education, and patient care duties, including applying DME, casting/splinting, and facilitating in-office procedures. The Rad Tech-Intern collaborates with physicians, APPs &amp; care team to ensure the highest quality of patient care and a positive patient experience.</p><p><br></p><p>**This role is part-time and could lead to a fulltime role after passing the boards upon graduation.**</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></u></p><p><strong>Clinical and Patient Support:</strong></p><ul><li>Room patients; collect history, vitals, and &nbsp;basic intake information.</li><li>Prepare patients for in-office procedures and injections as directed by a provider.</li><li>Assist with dressing, transport, transfers, and all activities of daily living.</li><li>Apply, remove, and educate patients on DME, splints, casts, and dressings.</li><li>Remove sutures/staples and apply &nbsp;Steri-Strips and bandages as instructed.</li></ul><p><strong>Imaging and Technical Tasks:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform diagnostic X-rays within their Limited Rad Tech licensure.</li><li>Retrieve and upload imaging (X-rays, CTs, MRIs) into PACS from internal systems or CDs.</li><li>Maintain equipment and prepare trays and instruments for imaging and procedures.</li></ul><p><strong>Administrative and Documentation Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Document clinical information accurately &nbsp;in the EMR.</li><li>Prepare patient charts (chart prep) in accordance with clinic protocols.</li><li>Schedule and reschedule patient &nbsp;appointments as needed.</li><li>Assist in collecting specimens per provider orders; complete paperwork and deliver to the lab.</li><li>Place calls to patients before &nbsp;appointments to obtain necessary information or outside imaging.</li></ul><p><strong>Team and Training Support:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist with special clinical projects or administrative tasks as needed.</li><li>Adhere to clinic attendance policies and &nbsp;maintain compliance with patient privacy and release of information guidelines</li></ul>",
