    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Newnan Utilities is currently offering summer internship opportunities for full-time students to gain on-the-job experience in various departments. Must be 18 years of age or older.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;</strong>(responsibilities dependent on department)</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform groundskeeping and related activities required to maintain the buildings, grounds, and properties of Newnan Utilities</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assemble, relocate, and maintain equipment, furniture, and fixtures as needed</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Use appropriate landscaping tools and equipment to maintain and improve the grounds and properties of Newnan Utilities including but not limited to a zero-turn lawnmower, hedge trimmer, weed trimmer, and other basic hand and power tools</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform pressure washing and painting as needed</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Wash, clean, and maintain cleanliness of Newnan Utilities&rsquo; vehicles and equipment</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Repair and/or replace meters and assist with testing meters for accuracy</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with fire hydrant testing</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with repairing water and sewer line breaks and leaks</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Raise utility covers and valve tops to meet grade level as needed</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Safely operate light construction, excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Inspect and fuel vehicles</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Transport compost product, materials, and/or equipment within the Compost Site</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Direct customers on appropriate location to dump compost products&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Promote a positive image and ensure that the Park is well maintained, clean, and visitors have an enjoyable experience</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>SKILLS &amp; COMPETENCIES</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and manuals</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to safely operate various tools and equipment such as but not limited to power tools, landscaping equipment, Newnan Utilities&rsquo; vehicles, and trade tools (depending on department)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Exceptional customer service skills</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Basic computer skills</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Education</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Currently enrolled full-time in High School, University, or Technical College</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>License | Certifications</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Valid State Driver&rsquo;s License, including an MVR that is deemed acceptable by the company</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Hepatitis B Vaccination Record (depending on department)</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Environment</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather and environmental conditions</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Outdoor work exposed to loud noise, dust, dirt, mud, insects, and animals</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Physical Requirement</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to perform moderate physical work</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to perform activities such as:&nbsp;<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>Heavy lifting of up to 20 lbs</li><li>Frequent bending/kneeling/stooping/crouching</li><li>Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time</li></ul></li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Newnan Utilities is committed to creating a diverse workforce.
