A central tenet of our work is Reaching Recovery, an evidence-based clinical care model.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Sound team members are focused on demonstrating compassion, patience, and understanding when treating clients. We believe in and advocate for Diversity, Equity, Justice, and Inclusion for our team and clients. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The crisis stabilization counselor supports individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health or substance abuse issues when they may be experiencing a mental health, environmental, vocational, or behavioral crisis. This person will provide community-based intervention and prevention services to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health care needs.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Schedule: </strong>Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday with flexible scheduling during core business hours (7:00am-7:00pm) to meet the needs of the families we support. </p>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>The primary office is located in the Lake City neighborhood of Seattle. This role will support families in North King and Snohomish Counties! </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Accepting applications until June 10.</strong></em></p>\n<p>Other keywords: therapists, therapy, counselors, counseling, social work, case managers, MSW, MHP, MFT, associates</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides crisis response during working hours and on-call basis. </li>\n <li>Works closely with other clinical/professional staff to maintain communication and provide feedback, to expedite implementation of assessment interventions. </li>\n <li>Participates with case management to address mental health symptoms and/or challenging behaviors.   </li>\n <li>Facilitates relationships and serves as a link between the company, parents, guardians, local agencies and the community. </li>\n <li>Creates, develops and revises Prevention and Intervention Plans with larger treatment team. </li>\n <li>Facilitates relationships and serves as a link between the company, parents, guardians, local agencies and the community. </li>\n <li>Coordinates and monitors discharge planning process including the development of a discharge plan and referral to follow-up resources. </li>\n <li>Participate in staff meetings, individual supervision and assigned committees, as required. </li>\n <li>Participate in continuing education on an annual basis. </li>\n <li>Provide consultation/education services to other organizations as appropriate. </li>\n <li>Maintain ethical and competent client and peer relationships in the delivery of service. </li>\n <li>Relate to others in a professional manner, respectful of individual and cultural differences. </li>\n <li>Comply with all applicable federal, state and county laws and regulations, Sound policies and procedures and all safety regulations. </li>\n <li>Understand, apply, synthesize and demonstrate recovery concepts in behavioral health. </li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KEY WORK RELATIONSHIPS</strong> </p>\n<p>Establishes and maintains positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with clinical team members, clients, and outside organizations. Relates to a wide variety of people including members of ethnic and sexual minority populations, and is respectful of individual and cultural differences. </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>A Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field is <strong>required</strong>. </li>\n <li>A Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field is preferred.</li>\n <li><p>At least 2 years of directly related clinical experience to the program as a clinician or case manager, and demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and treatment, preferred.</p></li>\n <li><p>Direct clinical experience with minority and low-income individuals and families, preferred. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Washington State licensure as an LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, or associate-level is highly preferred.</li>\n <li>If not licensed, must obtain Washington State Certified or Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor (CAAC or LAAC) status within 60 days of hire.</li>\n <li>Mental Health Professional (MHP) designation is preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Skill and experience in working with: </li>\n <li>A wide range of emotional and behavioral problems in adults;  </li>\n <li>Presenting problems of the entire family unit;  </li>\n <li>Individual adult problems and marital difficulties;  </li>\n <li>Communicating effectively with collateral agencies having contact with the individual and/or the family; and  </li>\n <li>Early intervention and prevention as well as time-effective treatment.  Ability to work well independently is necessary.   </li>\n <li>Knowledge of community mental health systems and resources within King County is highly desirable.
