What You'll Do As an Autonomous Vehicle Safety Driver, you will: Operate autonomous vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic laws Collect critical data on vehicle performance and environmental conditions Monitor autonomous driving systems during real-world testing Remain alert and prepared to respond to unexpected driving situations Conduct daily vehicle inspections and readiness checks Complete detailed reports to support ongoing technology development Collaborate with engineers, operations leaders, and riders by providing feedback and observations Help ensure the safety of all road users during testing operations Available Schedules Tuesday – Saturday 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts) AM Shift Options: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM PM Shift Options: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM Friday – Monday 40 hours per week (10-hour shifts) AM Shift: 4:30 AM – 3:00 PM PM Shift: 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM Note: New hires will begin on either the 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM shift or the 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM shift, based on hiring needs.
