    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p><p>The Specialist Engineer - Electrical is responsible for all aspects of the electrical design of Industrial</p><p>Ground Support Equipment such as Air Conditioner, Air Start and Ground Power units which utilize a</p><p>diesel engine, hybrid, or battery power as an energy source. This position includes system design and</p><p>system architecture development, electrical control system design and development, control software</p><p>definition, programming, documentation and development. A successful Electrical Engineer will be able</p><p>to conceptualize solutions to technical problems, work independently to generate the necessary drawings</p><p>and design documents, and communicate technical issues effectively with all levels of management.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p>(Other duties may be assigned)</p><p>&bull; Layout of the Electrical system architecture for new product development and prototyping.</p><p>&bull; Definition of the control system architecture for new product development using basic control</p><p>system theories</p><p>&bull; Initial programming and maintenance of unit controls in PLCs, HMIs in CoDeSys development</p><p>software.</p><p>&bull; Maintain and update existing C code for embedded microcontrollers.</p><p>&bull; Selection and application of electromechanical control devices for product development such as</p><p>contactors, relays, switches, circuit breakers, transformers, and power supplies.</p><p>&bull; Creation and maintenance of electrical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams,</p><p>wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical cabinet bills of materials</p><p>&bull; Creation of test plan, and first power up instructions for the new product developed.</p><p>&bull; Close support of first product start up with testing team at the factory, and early production runs of</p><p>equipment.</p><p>&bull; Interact with product engineer, and other disciplines to ensure clean integration of work into the</p><p>machine.</p><p>&bull; Cost Control to Design to Cost (DTC) objectives through proper component selection and</p><p>coordination with Product Manager</p><p>&bull; Other assignments as designated by immediate and/or higher supervisor/s</p><p><br></p><p><strong>OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p>&bull; ISO 9001: establish standards, procedures and other documents in accordance with ISO 9001.</p><p>&bull; Maintain the currency with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending training</p><p>classes, special technical and administration courses; seminars, exhibits and trade shows are</p><p>needed.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.</p><p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.</p><p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential</p><p>functions.</p><p>&bull; Three years&rsquo; experience with industrial type equipment and their control systems.</p><p>&bull; Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuit diagrams, and understand their functions</p><p>from the diagram.</p><p>&bull; Capable of schematic layout, wiring sizing, and control cabinet layouts.</p><p>&bull; AC motors control experience, both electromechanical and using VFD type controls preferred</p><p>&bull; Previous PLC programming experience preferred, especially in an IEC 61131-3 compliant</p><p>programming environment (e.g. CoDeSys)</p><p>&bull; Working knowledge of C programming language preferred</p><p>&bull; Familiarity of working within UL, NEC, and CE compliance design rules.</p><p>&bull; Automotive type wiring harness design, and layout experience is a plus.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</strong></p><p>&bull; Ability to utilize Microsoft Office to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed to</p><p>fulfill role.</p><p>&bull; Basic working knowledge of Solidworks or equivalent 3D CAD software preferred</p><p><br></p><p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p><p>&bull; AS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent</p><p>&bull; BSEE or better preferred</p><p><br></p><p><span data-teams=\"true\" data-pasted=\"true\">The Company is committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its information assets in alignment with ISO 27001.
